Feng Shui and Nutrition

Good nutrition is Good Feng Shui! I bet you never heard that one before, but it's true. I've often said that your home is your second body, so many of my posts have been about bringing balance and energy into your living and working spaces. But how are you treating your primary body? All the feng shui in the world will not help to balance and energize your physical and emotional health if you're not "taking care of business" in your every day living habits.
I'm sure that you are all blue in the face from hearing about eating all the servings of fruits and vegetables, so I won't bore you with that one! What I really want to focus on is your own personal 'chi' or energy level. My teacher and mentor, Grand Master Professor Thomas Lin Yun will teach in all his classes about how important it is to work on building your own personal chi to resonate with the chi of your home and working space.
If you are not eating correctly, you automatically deplete your personal chi! If you skip breakfast, and grab a cup of coffee and a bagel, you are depleting your personal chi for the day!
Stress causes a depletion of personal chi like nothing else. If you are under stress, and who isn't these days, than it's your job to do everything possible to counter the negative effects of stress, anxiety and depression that maybe assaulting you..
OK, I still have to suggest eating fresh fruits and vegetables every day. Sorry, but it's a fact that these food sources carry strong healing chi to our bodies. If you simply can't seem to get these foods into your every day schedule, try juicing your veggies and making enough for two or three days at a time. Also, there are wonderful supplements on the market today that you can take in capsule form! So no excuses, please. You can take a full days recommended dose of your fruits and veggies now in a pill. Who would have thought?
Be careful of diets that restrict one type of food, for instance "carbohydrates. It seems that everyone is on a "low carb " diet these days, but is this really an all around recommendation for everyone? Certainly if you are diabetic or have higher than normal blood glucose, you should be aware that carbs can acerbate the problem. If you are TRULY glucose intolerant or have a predisposition to Celiac disease, you may want to cut out or cut back carbs, but if you are only on a low carb diet to loose weight... than you may be depleting your body of a very important component to good health. Everything in moderation is not only something my Mom once said, but a very good way to live. A varied diet with many nutritional foods is the way to go for optimal health and chi balance.
I also cannot express how important exercise and meditation is to leading a healthy life full of abundant chi! You don't have to torture yourself with hours at the gym, or run until you drop! Moderate exercise is wonderful for balancing your physical and emotional life. A Yoga class is one of the very best ways of bringing good chi into your body and the benefits of one class can last for days!
Yours in Good Feng Shui and Good Health!
Blessings

What makes Some Homes More Prosperous Than Others?

I'm often asked why some people seem to attract more prosperity into their lives while others have a daily struggle on their hands.

Along with that question, I also say that there is no "magic bullet" to success and financial wealth. So many issues are involved in having great success. Hard work, and luck are two important factors. However, there is one important factor that many overlook; and that is the very fact that your home may be working against you!

OK, I hear you. "My home is beautiful" you say. Agreed, but how is the unseen ENERGY or CHI circulating in your environment? If your home isn't in balance energetically, it may negatively affect every aspect of your life, including the ability to maintain financial success, healthy relationships and even your physical and emotional health.

The entrance to your home is where opportunity and prosperity enter your home or business. It is the single most important factor in attracting good 'chi' into your space. If you can not clearly see the street from your front door (without bending over) you may be missing opportunities in your life. Additionally, if your entry way is blocked by trees, clutter, storage, shoes, bikes etc., you are blocking the very energy needed to flow freely within your home/office. If you have multiple entrances, the energy becomes confused and can't flow properly. It's important to establish one main entrance.

Your entrance must be bright, vibrant and clean, and certainly...without clutter!
