A feng shui bathroom?

Feng Shui enthusiasts rarely talk about bathroom feng shui, but a bathroom in the wrong location in your home could potentially be damaging to your health and wealth!
Some locations are more 'draining' than others.
For instance, a bathroom that shares a wall with the head of your bed, may intensify symptoms of dampness, as in sinus infections, colds, flu's, etc.
A bathroom in the center of your home may also adversely affect your physical and emotional health.
Good feng shui is healthy flowing energy at all times. If you want to slow the draining affect of leaking energy, always keep the toilet lids down, and try to close off the sink and shower drains when not in use.
It might be an imposition to be vigilant, but you may notice that when you do, you feel better!

More Feng Shui Questions

Question:
What does feng shui mean?

Answer:
Feng Shui translated means 'wind and water.' When the two forces of wind and water meet, energy is released. To define energy is to make things happen! Feng Shui uses energy from our local environment to balance and improve the quality of our life.

Question:
Can I use feng shui in just one room of my house?

Answer:
You could but you would not have the full advantage of changing any significant energy if you just feng shuied one room in your home. To gain the maximum benefits, the whole home must be taken into consideration.

Question:
Does feng shui change the decor or style of my home?

Answer:
No. There are very simple "remedies" used to create a positive flow of energy throughout your space. Within the home, there are no major changes suggested.

Feng Shui Questions

Many people have questions relating to feng shui. In my next few blogs, I'm going to answer some of the most pertinent questions I receive daily.

Question.
Is feng shui a religion? Is it like fortune telling and does it go against GOD?

Answer:
This would be an emphatic no! Feng Shui has nothing to do with religion, superstition, or tarot cards! Your religious faith is not an issue with any form of feng shui. Personally, I have clients from all faiths benefiting from feng shui.

Question:
Is feng shui expensive?

Answer:
No, not when you rank it with being an investment in your future. Feng shui consultations are priced on an individual basis, depending on square footage and what your personal needs are.

Question:
My home is beautiful, why do I need feng shui?

Answer:
Feng shui is not about how cosmetically beautiful your home may be, it's really about how the energy flows throughout your space. Some of the least attractive homes have the best feng shui while some of the more beautiful homes can have major imbalances and "missing areas" causing unrest within the home.

How to choose great feng shui colors!

Every human being is affected by colors. Every color evokes a different emotion in the mind of the beholder. A red rose or a white lily will evoke different feelings altogether. When you use Feng Shui in your home, much attention is paid to the colors chosen.

We see different colors because of their reflective properties. Feng Shui uses colors to reflect energy and create harmony.
Light blue. white. purple, green, all are yin colors (female) which will give a feeling of passive energy. These colors are dreamy in quality. Too much of these qualities can throw you out of balance.
Adding yang (masculine) vibrant colors can balance the yin and yang of the space and add energy where needed. Having rooms with all neutral colors is not recommended. A room that lacks vitality (no color) is a room that locks energy.

I personally, love the color yellow! Yellow evokes warmth, sunbeams, cheer, and friendliness.
When I enter a room that is painted in a yellow hue, I immediately feel my spirits lift.
Try it..............I think you'll feel the difference!

Feng Shui For Real Estate

When showing a home that has good feng shui, buyers are more comfortable and tend to make better offers. They report feeling a strong connection to the home. Also, buyers "in the know" can be very attracted to a home that has been professionally feng shuied!

When you enter a home that has a positive flow of energy, you will have a sense of well-being and delight.

Some beautiful homes will sit for months, even after the price has been lowered, and other homes, perhaps, not so attractive will fly off the shelf.

Simple feng shui 'remedies' help adjust the energy making a home more appealing to clients.

Simple things like adding a fountain or a wind chime in precise locations can move the energy to such an extent, that the "feel" of the home actually changes for the better!

Feng Shui Money Tree

Many of you have asked me, "what is a Money Tree?" What is considered a Feng Shui money tree is actually a plant called Pachira. It's a beautiful plant/tree and when placed in certain positions of the home, can increase prosperity and wealth.

The shape of the plant's leafs represent the five elements of the BaGua (which is the energy map used in feng shui analysis). The five elements are: water, fire, metal, earth and wood. These leafs represent a balancing of energy in a space, and when energy is balanced, life becomes easier.

Money trees can be placed in areas of the home according to your BaGua position. For instance, a tree placed in the southeast area of your home, can draw in more wealth and abundance. Being that the southwest area of your home represents relationships, a tree placed there can solidify and heal relationships.

I always get my trees from Eastern Leaf. If you'd like to see how beautiful they are, check them out on my RESOURCES page on my website. You can order a beautiful tree right off the site and have it sent to your home!

Can feng shui help my child sleep better?

Yes!

If your child is having trouble sleeping, or maybe doesn't want to sleep in his/her own room, the first thing that I would check is the positioning of the bed. Is the foot of the bed directly facing the door to the bedroom (or the bathroom doorway)?

Try to move the bed away from this position (even a few inches) and see if that helps.
