How fountains are so important in feng shui!..

FENG SHUI FOUNTAINS

Maybe you have already heard how popular fountains and numerous other water features are for enhancing your own feng shui. Because of the constant movement of the water, fountains can draw abundance and prosperity into your home or business. Whether you choose a fountain that resembles an art piece or a simple tabletop fountain, with proper placement you will gain enormous benefits..

Moving water gets the ‘chi’ (energy) moving, especially if it is placed either outside your front door or just inside your entryway. On a physical level, it will add humidity to an overly dry or stagnant room.

A fountain placed in the Southeast corner of your home is a major enhancement that can lead to wealth and prosperity. A garden fountain or waterfall outside this area would also be extremely helpful.

Adding a water feature (or a swimming pool) in the South area of your home is not a good idea, as this area resonates with the element of FIRE and too much water could adversely affect your business and reputation.

I would not recommend too much water placed in the center or the “tai chi” of the home. This area reflects the element of earth, and too much water can literally wash away the benefits of earth and adversely affect your health.

Feng Shui Tips for 2010

Happy New Year from your Hollywood Feng Shui Lady!

One of the very best things to do to start the new year off is to undergo a thorough cleaning and a letting go of clutter to allow fresh energy and new opportunities to flow into your life. This is also the best time to have Feng Shui done on your home and business spaces, as the energy is strongest for change.

If you have made resolutions for 2010, help yourself keep them by doing some introspection to discover why you have not been able to make these changes before. If you are trying to lose weight, what do you do to sabotage yourself? Do you put off exercising for that "perfect day" when all the planets line up and you have nothing else to do that you consider important?

Is your kitchen or dining room in an area of your home (a feng shui issue) that might be contributing to your weight gain? (More about this in future blogs).

Most of us are looking to improve our financial situations. What steps in 2010 will we be taking to heal some of the incredible financial stress of the last two years? If we have a business, what will we do to promote this business? If we sit on our haunches and expect business to flow toward us without expending a great deal of energy, than there is little hope that we can become successful.

Look for opportunities to grow your business. Hire a business coach. (A good investment). Joining a networking group and attending business seminars is always great for making connections. Get youself a website, business cards and brochures and get your name out there!

And of course, have your home work for you while building your success, by having Feng Shui done in your home!
