FENG SHUI FOR MOM AND FAMILY
Not long ago, a working Mom heard about my work and decided to call me in for a Feng Shui consultation of her home. She told me that life just wasn’t going along as smoothly as she had hoped for. There was much tension, anxiety and financial stress in her life, and the physical and emotional health of her family was also at a low point.
I asked her to send me a floor plan of her home so I could begin my diagnosis before I visited her in person. When diagnosing a floor plan, I use a tool called a BaGua. The BaGua is an eight sided energy map in the shape of an octagon. Each area of the BaGua represents different aspects of life; Wealth, Career, Reputation, Family, Children, Helpful People, Knowledge and Marriage. The center of the BaGua (located in the center of your home) joins all the areas together and in general, represents the health of the family. The BaGua is overlaid on the entire floorplan being diagnosed. This identifies which areas need to be energetically adjusted to bring balance and harmony into your environment.
After a study of her floor plan and an on site inspection of her home, I found many issues contributing to their family stress.
She had two major “missing areas” in the BaGua of her home. (A missing area is when the house doesn’t complete a square causing an imbalance of energy). One was in the marriage or relationship area. This missing area was negatively affecting the relationship with her husband and to some degree, her children. A bathroom in this area added to the ‘draining effect’ (literally draining the energy away from her marriage). She complained of much bickering and tension in the house. Another major missing area was in the career sector. Both she and her husband were experiencing difficulties in their business lives..
I found issues affecting their finances. A front door opened to a view of the backyard, making it very difficult to earn and hold onto money.
A pool in their backyard was positioned to negatively affect reputation contributing to money loss, a slowing of business and a vulnerability to litigation. (Note, be careful where you place a pool or fountain).
Stairs in the center of their home were affecting their health and finances. (Stairs, bathrooms or stoves are problematic in this area).
A bathroom was near the foot of their master bed. Her daughter’s bedroom was above a garage, and their wealth area (southeast area of their property) had a huge BBQ and many spiky trees and plants, additionally adding to financial problems.
After their personal consultation, she and her husband were amazed! After applying simple Feng Shui adjustments to their home, many positive changes took place. Her husband’s business is thriving and her own business ”took off!” Their relationship is so much happier and romantic and the health and wellbeing of her family improved. Financial stress was replaced by abundance, and she even lost the weight she had tried so hard to loose in the past. When you are in harmony with your environment, amazing things can happen!
